File Entry Procedures


Preparations
Filing Power of Attorney (If you already filed a valid POA, ignore this step)
     E-file Customs Power of Attorney online, and
     Upload copy of your personal ID and/or official IRS document to verify SSN and/or EIN #

Registration with CBP for Importer ID #
    (If you previously imported goods from a foreign country within 1 year, ignore this step )
Purchase Bond Application
      If you want to buy one continuous bond, it takes about 10 days to get it done.
     (If you already have one, ignore this step)

Start Entry Work
File the required entry information and upload shipping documents online
    (commercial invoice, bill of lading, packing list)

Make Online Payment for Entry Filing Fee and applicable Single Bond Service Fee
     (if you already have an effective continuous bond, ignore bond service fee)

Waiting for CBP Confirmation
    Upon receipt of your payment and all required info, CBPbrokers will start to handle the clearance task for you. The earlist possible release day is the day your goods arrive at the port of entry.
